Standing Committees
Board Affairs Committee
The Board Affairs Committee is responsible for the membership functions of the Board, determines needed membership skills, identifies, recruits and recommends candidates for the Board, recommends officer slates, monitors Board Operations, plans and implements the annual Board Retreat and assists the Board Chair in making the Board as effective as possible.
Scholarship Committee
The Committee shall be comprised of members of the Board of Trustees, counselors and general membership. Additionally the President shall appoint 5 members from the Committee or other members of the Board of Trustees to serve on the Scholarship Selection Sub-committee for the purpose of screening, interviewing and selecting scholarship recipients.
Annual Fundraising Events
The Committee will be responsible for all details necessary to plan and present the annual fundraiser(s)including Evening of Entertainment.
Communications
The responsibilities of the Committee shall be to develop and implement communication initiatives to support the work of the DPSSF, including organization of alumni groups, social media, and all print and electronic communications.
Finance
The Committee shall assist the Board in carrying out its fiduciary and financial responsibilities, reviewing budgets, financial plans, reports, and periodic audits.
Donor and Alumni Communication
The Committee’s responsibilities shall be to develop and maintain a database of past participants and donors to the annual fundraisers.
