Founding History & Roots

The DPS Scholarship Foundation was established to break down systemic financial barriers standing between talented Durham high school graduates and collegiate success.

We believe getting accepted to college is only half the journey. By combining multi-year financial funding with proactive peer mentoring, we ensure Durham scholars persist all the way to graduation day.

Governance & Fiduciary Standards

Dps Scholarship Foundation operates under the governance of an independent, uncompensated Board of Directors dedicated to community welfare. Our leadership exercises active oversight over program budgets, ethical compliance, and executive administration.

As an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN: 56-1514212), our annual financial statements and IRS Form 990 filings are maintained in open public record and available through our office or via GuideStar/Candid.
